One of our responsibilities is to promote, encourage and facilitate the participation of all stakeholders in Cyprus in European cybersecurity actions. In this context we provide technical assistance to stakeholders, supporting them at the application stage for projects managed by the Competence Centre.

For Cyprus, the funding programs will be a great step and incentive to our society as a whole and look forward to significant investment of EU public funds in cybersecurity projects. Such a development will help strengthen and develop the cybersecurity ecosystem, shield our economy and society from cyber-attacks to face future challenges. In addition, it will maintain research excellence and enhance the competitiveness of EU industry in the field of Cybersecurity.

Funding resources will come from funding opportunities through EU co-funded European programs.

The European Union offers a wide range of funding opportunities for cybersecurity projects. In addition to the better known European funds, there are also the directly managed EU programs through which Brussels announces direct calls for project funding. Examples of such programs are Digital Europe and Horizon Europe.
