CONSOLE, an EU-funded cybersecurity innovation project running from 2024 to 2026 under the Digital Europe Programme, brought together research institutions, cybersecurity experts, universities, and industry partners from across Europe with the shared objective of strengthening cybersecurity throughout the software development lifecycle.

During the webinar, the project presented its mission to deliver an automated and unified cybersecurity platform designed to support software developers, SMEs, and organisations in building secure, resilient, and compliant software solutions. The session highlighted how CONSOLE integrated advanced cybersecurity tools, training services, and secure development practices into everyday workflows, aiming to make cybersecurity more accessible, scalable, and effective across Europe.

The webinar also showcased the project’s key activities, including:

• the development of automated cybersecurity tools for secure software development;
• training and certification services focused on secure development principles;
• the integration of cybersecurity into software development environments and workflows;
• support for SMEs in complying with emerging EU cybersecurity regulations, including the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA);
• pilot-driven validation activities demonstrating the platform in real-world software development ecosystem

The event emphasized the importance of collaboration in strengthening cybersecurity awareness and capabilities within the European software development community, fostering cooperation among stakeholders, and supporting the creation of secure and trustworthy digital products and services across the European Union.
