The launch event for the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre (NCC-CY) took place on June 4, 2024, at the ICT Academy of the Commissioner of Communications. This event was part of the European project N4CY: Development of the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre of the Republic of Cyprus.
Commissioner of Communications, Mr. George Michaelides, emphasized the significance of NCC- CY’s work, which includes creating the cybersecurity community, providing grants to society, and undertaking awareness and training initiatives.
Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy, Mr. Nikodimos Damianou, urged attendees to utilize the services of NCC-CY, highlighting the state's commitment to prioritizing cybersecurity.
Executive Director of ECCC, Mr. Luca Tagliaretti, outlined the organization's vision to enhance Europe's integrity in the field of cybersecurity.
Head of NCC-CY, Mr. Poly Peratikos, informed about the Centre’s goals, actions, and future plans, extending an open invitation for the development of new strategic partnerships.
The event was attended by over 100 interested parties from both the public and private sectors involved in cybersecurity.
