This action was carried out in the framework of the development of cooperation between the National Cyber Security Coordination Centres (NCCs) and more generally in the context of our Organization's policy of developing awareness-raising activities in the schools.
The camp aimed to educate and raise awareness of 13-16 year old schoolgirls in the field of cybersecurity with the support of the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC), offering a comprehensive educational package of knowledge and activities to the participants, focusing on cybersecurity, both for children from Estonia and for children participating from other countries.
In particular, the participants gained knowledge and skills on topics such as information retrieval, dealing with cyber attacks, internet protection and the use of operating systems.
In this educational camp, with the support of the Ministry of Education of Cyprus, 6 students aged 15 years old from different cities of Cyprus participated and were accompanied by Mrs. Natalia Polykarpou, member of the NCC-CY team and IT teacher Mrs. Soteroulla Loizidou Rouchwani.
